We just got back from 2 weeks on set in the Sharbot Lake / Tamworth area, where we shot the feature film version of Greed & Gore. If that name doesn’t mean anything to you, please read this!
The days were long, the nights cold, but the team was amazing. We were back in the creepy abandoned house where we shot the short, and in addition we shot in Tamworth Central, where the talented Jake Baer built some amazing sets including a parking garage.

And please allow me to boast for a minute about how amazing it was that we happened to be in an area with no light polution during some crazy solar activity. There were a few nights where everyone just dropped their work for 10 minutes to gaze at the mystical colour displays in the skies. Witnessing this was something I didn’t expect to check off my bucket list this year!
When we came back (mid October) we expected to be done after Frightmare. But no rest for the wicked LOL. We suddenly have 2 features lined up for November!
First, we will be travelling to Bobcaygeon to work on a found footage production titled Chimera. After that we’ll be in the Kitchener area for 2 weekends, killing people for a murder mystery titled Hyena. This last one is written and directed by Matt Ninaber – known from Psycho Goreman and Death Valley. Both productions sound like they’re going to be a lot of fun!
And then, come December we will be working on………. absolutely nothing! And we’re looking forward to that as well.
